Interesting question.
I think the environment matters most to me - if there are grumpy and pessimistic people around me then I am not creative at all! But if there is some excitement in the air, then I start getting quite creative.
So I guess my creativity is directly proportional to the excitement level around me.

I agree that the environment matters. I feel that for me, my mental and emotional state matters most. But I easily get inspired in an encouraging midst. That event could be a televison show or talking to my friends. I think creativity is enhanced by letting go of stunting beliefs and as they say 'thinking out of the box'.
